For many years, Robb was part of the two-person motion design and production studio TCG, where he designed and directed a variety of work for t.v., film, and commercials. The studio’s small size allowed him to exercise his broad range of talents on various projects as Designer, Director, Writer, Animator, Editor, Compositor, and Producer.
Robb’s unique background in the visual arts and other media provides him with a rare combination of strengths as a designer and director, which include:
a strong sense of visual storytelling
the ability to conceive the “big idea” as well as pay attention to the fine details in execution
a thorough understanding of the technical skills required to take a job from concept to delivery
an exceptional ability to interact and communicate effectively with both artists and clients alike
Prior to designing and directing, he was a staff writer for a number of network sitcoms (including NBC’s “Wings”), and has written articles for publications such as Details, Los Angeles Magazine, Smithsonian Magazine, and Men’s Journal.
Robb attended the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts (M.F.A.), Columbia (A.B., English), and the Interlochen Arts Academy (Creative Writing and Visual Art).
He is also an avid close-up magician (member of the world famous Magic Castle) and a competitive dog trainer.
